Shilton, north-east of Coventry carries 'Mercia FM' and 'Classic Gold 1359'. The main mast acts as the MF/AM antenna while the sloping wire reflector provides some directionality. The mixed polarization VHF/FM transmissions come from the four vertical and four horizontal folded dipoles at the top of the mast.

These were the original VHF aerials but they have recently been changed, as you will see...

And here (above) are the DAB aerials on the tower.


When Peter Bigwood visited the site he had slightly better weather...
